All In for the Next Generation

Lindsay Abram’s Story
Sometimes going All In doesn’t begin with a big moment or a bold declaration.
Sometimes, it starts with a simple willingness to help.
“I just like being a helpful hand.”
That quiet yes has shaped Lindsay’s journey at Church on the Hill for the past seven to eight years and has become a powerful example of what it looks like to live All In by showing up for the Next Generation.
A Simple Yes That Matters
Lindsay currently serves as a small group leader with our Middle School Girls and on the Communion and Usher team. But her decision to serve wasn’t driven by a role she wanted to hold; it was driven by availability.
Showing up. Helping where needed. Saying yes.
What began as a small step became the foundation for years of meaningful impact.
Growing With the Next Generation
Growing With the Next Generation
One of the most meaningful parts of Lindsay’s serving story is how it has unfolded over time.
She started serving with preschoolers and continued serving as those children grew building relationships, trust, and shared memories along the way.
“The relationships built with the kids, getting to know them on a personal level and sharing special memories, have meant so much.”
Now serving with middle school girls, Lindsay is experiencing the beauty of long-term investment.
This is disciple-making at its core:
presence, consistency, and relational faithfulness.
Growth on Both Sides
Serving has shaped Lindsay as well as the students. Volunteering has pushed her outside her comfort zone, opened doors to new relationships, and created space for spiritual and personal growth.
“I learn and grow every week with my middle school girls.”
Outside of church, Lindsay enjoys reading and cheering on her youngest child at football games living out faith and discipleship in everyday life.
There’s a Place for You
When Lindsay encourages someone who’s considering serving, her message is simple and freeing.
Just do it. There’s nothing to lose, and there’s a place for everyone.
All In: Showing Up for the Next Generation
Lindsay’s story reminds us that going All In doesn’t require a perfect plan, just a willing heart.
When we invest in people, build relationships over time, and show up consistently, God multiplies what we offer.
And sometimes, the smallest yes becomes a lasting legacy in the lives of others.
