I Love My Church | Church on the Hill

What’s the first thing you say when someone asks about your church?
“I love my church!”

Maybe that feels prideful, but it isn’t. Because Jesus loves the Church too! In fact, He calls the Church His bride and He loved her so much, he gave everything for her. And now, He invites us to do the same. Not to die for the Church (He already did), but to love it, serve it, and be part of building it up.

During this series, we’re taking a deep dive into what makes the Church so powerful, beautiful, and essential. Whether you’ve been here for years or are brand new, we believe you’ll walk away saying, “I love my church” with more meaning than ever before.

Join us as we celebrate, rediscover, and invest in the heart of God’s Church, together.

Colossians 1:9-12 (2 Chronicles 7:14)

Love that Prays

A praying church is a powerful church. Paul’s prayer for the Colossians reminds us that when we seek God first, He strengthens us with wisdom, endurance, and joy. Prayer isn’t the spare tire … it’s the steering wheel for a healthy church.

Romans 10:13-17 (Isaiah 6:8)

Love In Sharing

Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved—but how will they hear unless someone tells them? Sharing your faith isn’t just a duty, it’s an act of love. Let’s say “Here I am, Lord” and be a church that brings good news.

2 Corinthians 9:6-10 (Proverbs 11:24-25)

Love by Giving

Generosity is more than an action – it’s worship. When we sow generously, God multiplies the harvest, not just in our lives, but through the Church. This week, take the Tithe Challenge and experience the joy of giving from a grateful heart.

Ephesians 4:14-16 (Psalm 92:12-14)

Love for Life

Spiritual maturity doesn’t happen overnight—it grows through long-term commitment to Christ and His Church. We flourish when we stay rooted in God’s family, growing together in love and truth.

Galatians 5:13-15 (1 Samuel 12:24)

Love in Action

True freedom leads us to serve. When we use our lives to love others, we fulfill God’s call and reflect His heart. Serving isn’t just what we do, it’s who we are as the Church.

Acts 2:42-47 (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10)

Love in Community

The early Church grew strong through deep, intentional community. We need each other to thrive, to grow, and to carry out the mission of Jesus. Church isn’t just a place we go, it’s a people we belong to.

Romans 15:5-7 (Leviticus 19:33-34)

Love that Welcomes

Christ welcomed us with open arms and now we’re called to do the same for others. Hospitality isn’t about perfection; it’s about presence. Let’s be a church known for our unity, kindness, and radical welcome.
