For Edna Newberry, serving has been a quiet, faithful rhythm of life at Church on the Hill for more than 30 years, a living example of what it looks like to be All In through generosity and love for others.
A Faithful Presence
Edna serves in many ways, often behind the scenes and always with a willing heart. You’ll find her helping with Communion, coffee setup and cleanup, the CLOTH ministry, funeral food, Rip and Roll, and stepping in whenever there’s a need.
Her long-standing connection to Church on the Hill began with something simple but lasting:

Over three decades later, those same values continue to shape how she shows up and serves.
Serving With Joy
When asked what led her to go All In with volunteering, Edna points to a deep desire to care for others.
She wanted to be of service to church members and to the community.

“When serving Communion, I get to feel a blessing myself.”
For Edna, serving is about experiencing God's presence in the act of giving, not just meeting a need. That same joy fills her heart when she completes a quilt, whether it’s for someone in the congregation or for children in need.
