We’re excited you may SAY YES to be part of the tribe of amazing volunteers who serve Next Gen On the Hill—not just because WE need you—but because there’s a generation in our community who needs adults like you, uniquely, and specifically gifted, with your story and experiences, to show up for them.
Our Kids ministry has grown 40% in the last year. These kids are going to be world changers. They are going to carry their faith and the message of Hope to all corners of the world. When you SAY YES you’ll be leading them to find their confidence and identity in The One who created them on purpose for a purpose! When you SAY YES to a child or student you are building a foundation that creates a safe place for them to explore their faith.
Below you’ll find details about volunteer opportunities. Some support ministry and others are hands-on roles with children and students. SAY YES to:
- Loving and showing Christ to even our littlest members On The Hill!

- Rocking and Snuggles, Sweet Giggles, Repetition, Bottles and Sippy Cups, Bible Stories
Preschool Small Group Leaders Are Saying Yes To:
- Leading kids through age-specific activities that help them better understand the lesson. *All supplies are provided and prepared in advance.*
- Sundays 11am; 1x/month
- Playtime, Crafts, Goldfish Crackers, Funny Prayer Requests, Sticky Hands, Bible Memory Verses
Elementary Small Group Leaders Are Saying Yes To:
- Investing consistently by leading kids through age-specific activities that help them better understand the lesson. *All supplies are provided and prepared in advance.*
- Laughs, Loud Voices, Crafts, Memory Verses, Games, Fun, Listening, Relationships
- Sundays 11am; 1x/month
- Mentoring students through building relationships and facilitating discussions each week in a small group.
- Weekly, 10:45am-12:15pm on Sundays
- Lots of Laughter, Crazy Games, Emotions, Instagram Stories, Teachable Moments, Bible Lessons
- Mentoring students through building relationships and facilitating discussions each week in a small group.
- Weekly, 5:45pm-8:00pm on Sundays
- Lots of Laughter, Senioritis, TikTok Trends, Late Nights, Coffee Runs, Teachable Moments, Bible Lessons
- Enhancing kids' environments to bring each series to life
- Designing, Creativity, Decorating, Friendship, Fun
- Weekday: 1 day/month (last week of each month)
- Prepping the crafts and supplies needed for kids and small group leaders
- Reading Directions, Cutting Shapes, Sorting, Counting, Examples, Friendship
- Weekdays: 3-4 hours, 2x/month

*Next Gen Ministry Volunteer Prerequisites
For the safety of our children and students, we require that you have worshipped with us for a minimum of 6 months, complete a background check, and receive Safe Sanctuary training. Additionally, volunteers serving middle and high school students must also agree to an Motor Vehicle Record check.
Students may serve in environments where they are 5 years older than the oldest student and at times that do not run parallel to their own worship gathering. (One must be 20 years old to serve in Student Ministry.)
