Mission
Make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
Vision
Love God; Love people.
Blessed, Broken, Given
Throughout Scripture, we discover that nothing is as common as it seems, not even bread. Bread fell from heaven as a sign of God’s provision; bread became a metaphor for the law of the Lord. Jesus fed the multitudes with loaves of bread and referred to himself as “the bread of life.”
Then, on the night that He was handed over to suffering and death, Jesus took bread, blessed it, broke it, and gave it to His disciples as a picture of His body being given for the life of the world. In this 4-week series, we will learn that life, like bread, isn’t as ordinary as it may seem. Join us Sunday On The Hill for our next message from Blessed, Broken, Given at 9:30 am in the chapel or 11:00 am in the worship center.
One of our values is Serving Together, which means life is about service not, “serve us.” Because this is true, we know that serving changes everything.
Don’t worry, there are lots of different ways that you can get involved at Church on the Hill. On September 11 from 10:30-11:00 am and 12:00-12:30 pm in the Food Court, we will host a Service Fair to give you the chance to find your place to serve. While you are there, we’ll have a friendly competition between the different ministry areas! Vote for the best decorated table and grab a donut while you look for your opportunity to serve. Visit onthehill.life/service-fair for more information.
