If a tree is to be healthy and strong it must have good roots. The same is true for a believer in Jesus Christ. The same principles that go into planting, growing, pruning, and harvesting a great crop goes into developing strong spiritual roots, deeper character, and a love for God and our
neighbors.

Isn’t it time to get Rooted? Join this four-week journey as we discover God’s plan to transform us into the people, He wants us to be.

Rooted in Trust

Christians are managers, not owners of God’s resources. We are called to trust God in financial matters and as we grow in becoming faithful stewards we deepen our spiritual roots by trusting in the goodness of God who owns all things and makes all things available for us.

Rooted in Service

As Christians we have received the love of God as image-bearers of God. Through His love, we should be compelled to extend that love towards all people. Looking at the life of Jesus, you’ll see that love is defined as compassion that results in action. Compassion that is demonstrated in action is called service. We owe it to other people to love them through serving them and our service even roots us to the Lord. Even a small act of service can be a great act of love.

Rooted in Community

The Apostle Paul encourages the church in Rome toward authentic love, ethical conduct, and harmonious relationships, which deepen our roots and enable us to endure life’s trials. Being rooted in community, the church is enabled to stand resolute and navigate life’s storms, and support one another.

Rooted in Worship

God’s plan is our transformation, which is an inside-out process. This involves a church community collectively surrendering to God’s purpose and becoming a living sacrifice, by worshiping through focused attention and genuine affection. True worship encompasses all of life is not merely a one-day-a-week religious ritual, but must be infused with a genuine love for God and others.

Life brings seasons of testing and difficulty. These are often times that show us what is on the inside. But God’s grace is always with us and for us. It always sustains us and steadies us. When life gets hard, God refines us and helps us to see who we really are.

Daniel, the Old Testament prophet, is a case study for what it looks like to be in a season of
difficulty. Join us for this 4-week series in the Book of Daniel.

Grace Under Fire: Courage to Face Lions

God calls us to be people of righteous courage, even in the face of fear, uncertainty, and persecution. With faith in Jesus Christ, real courage will come from knowing that God loves us regardless of how scared we may be.

Grace Under Fire: The King Has Fallen

It’s a terrible thing when someone falls from grace. King Nebuchadnezzar makes the mistake of glorifying himself rather than God, and his kingdom is taken from him. Yet, through God’s grace, he humbles himself and is restored. In Daniel chapter 4, we see God’s grace empowers us to be humble. This is key because humility practiced is beautiful. Humility enforced is painful.

Grace Under Fire: Through the Fire

When 3 Jews come face to face with the King of Babylon, their faith is tested in the most intense way. In Daniel chapter 3, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego show us how the presence of God gives us the strength to withstand cultural and political pressure to worship other gods. Through their story, we learn that culture expects you to conform, while Jesus invites you to transform.

Grace Under Fire: God's Got This

The life of Daniel teaches us that despite difficult situations God is in control and that with that truth as our foundation, we can trust God. With faith in Christ, we are made to overcome difficulties and not collapse under their weight.

Summer is a time for family. For some, family time is fun and fulfilling. For others, thinking about family can be uncomfortable or even painful.

We all wish we had a picture-perfect family. But we all have stories that we'd rather not tell and some level of dysfunction. In the stories of Genesis, we discover God's chosen family had struggles, secrets, sibling rivalries, and even threats of murder. As we explore these rich and ancient stories, we see how God works in us and through us—despite family dysfunction—to bring about God’s perfect will for the world. The good news is that we can find hope for God’s presence and activity in our own families today.

Picture Perfect Family: Unmasked

We all spend time trying to become someone we think we should be. We hide behind masks, carry regrets, and wrestle with our fears and failures. In Jacob's encounter with God, we discover that real transformation begins when we stop pretending and honestly bring ourselves before the Lord. This message reminds us that God is not waiting for a better version of us. He invites us to come as we are. When we name our struggles and surrender our true selves to Him, God gives us a new identity and shapes us into the people He created us to be. The path to transformation begins with honesty and ends with grace.

Picture Perfect Family: Week 7

Life has a way of bringing us to moments where we feel lost, overwhelmed, or desperate for direction. In Jacob's encounter with God at Bethel, we discover that God often reveals Himself most clearly in our places of need. This message reminds us that God is closer than we realize and is always inviting us into something new. When we encounter His presence, we are given an opportunity to turn toward Him, trust His promises, and become the people He created us to be. As we learn who God is, we begin to understand who we are called to become and how our lives can reflect His kingdom to the world.

Picture Perfect Family: God is Faithful

Life can often feel complicated, confusing, and uncertain, but God is always at work behind the scenes. Through the story of Jacob and Esau, we are reminded that God's plans are never random and His purposes are never forgotten. Even in imperfect families, difficult seasons, and unexpected circumstances, God remains faithful. He uses ordinary people, works through our mistakes, and continues to carry out His good plans. When we cannot see the whole picture, we can trust the character of the One who does. Our calling is to remember His faithfulness, trust His promises, and believe that He is still working all things together for good.

Picture Perfect Family: A Reason to Live

God is always at work, even in the ordinary moments of our lives. The story of Isaac and Rebekah reminds us that God's providence is often unfolding in ways we cannot see. Through everyday choices, unexpected encounters, and seasons of waiting, God is faithfully putting His plans into motion. This message encourages us to trust that God sees us, knows our needs, and is working for our good. His love gives us purpose, hope, and a reason to keep moving forward. Even when we do not understand what God is doing, we can trust that He is always up to something.

Picture Perfect Family: How High a Price is too High a Price?

What does true worship really look like? In the story of Abraham and Isaac, we discover that worship is far more than songs, routines, or preferences. Worship is our response to the presence of God and a willingness to trust Him with everything. Abraham's journey to Mount Moriah reminds us that worship often comes with a cost. It means placing our fears, our plans, and even the things we treasure most into God's hands. When we surrender ourselves fully to Him, we remember His faithfulness in the past and trust that He will provide for whatever lies ahead. The God who provided for Abraham is still at work today, inviting us to live lives of trust, surrender, and wholehearted worship.

Picture Perfect Family: Week 3

When we doubt God's goodness and provision, we often try to take control of our circumstances. The story of Abraham, Sarah, and Hagar reveals how selfish choices can bring pain and brokenness into our relationships. Yet even in the middle of human failure, God's grace remains. This message reminds us that God sees the hurting, hears our cries, and responds with compassion. His grace invites us out of selfishness and into a life of sacrificial love, trusting that He will provide for our needs so that we can become a blessing to others.

Picture Perfect Family: Have You Given Up?

Waiting is one of the hardest parts of following God. We pray, hope, and trust, yet sometimes the answers seem delayed and God's voice feels silent. In the story of Abraham and Sarah, we discover that waiting is not wasted time. God used years of waiting to deepen their faith, shape their character, and prepare them for His promise. This message reminds us that even in seasons of uncertainty and pain, God has not forgotten us. We can wait with purpose because God's promises remain true and His faithfulness never fails.

Picture Perfect Family: Now I Get It. Thanks

God has a way of using ordinary, imperfect people to accomplish extraordinary things. In the call of Abraham, we see a man who did not have all the answers, yet he chose to trust God and take the next step of faith. This message reminds us that faith is often lived one step at a time. We may not see the entire path ahead, but God does. As we learn to trust His promises and follow His leading, we discover that He is preparing us for more than we could ever imagine. When God says go, our calling is to trust Him and take the next step.

“You will be my witnesses.” These simple words of Jesus represent a big mission for the Church. The Book of Acts is a collection of small steps and true stories. It tells how the church continued the ministry of Christ into all the world through their faithful work. Each faithful witness in Acts is empowered by the Holy Spirit to fulfill the mission of Jesus. These stories give us hope that we too may experience God’s presence as we continue the ministry and work of Jesus Christ. The story continues through us, His Church.

Acts: Trinity Sunday

God has always used ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things. In Acts 18, Paul arrives in Corinth discouraged and alone, only to find friendship, encouragement, and partners in ministry through Priscilla and Aquila. This message reminds us that the Christian life was never meant to be lived in isolation. God forms us through relationships, invites us into community, and uses our ordinary acts of faithfulness to make an eternal impact. When ordinary people obediently follow an extraordinary God, lives are changed and the story of Jesus continues through His church.

Acts: A Lesson In Evangelism

How we respond to God's Word shapes the direction of our lives. In Acts 17, we see three very different responses to the message of Jesus. Some resisted it, some received it, and others ridiculed it. This message reminds us that God is always at work, often in places and people we least expect. As we open the Scriptures and encounter the living Christ, we are invited to recognize His presence and join Him in what He is already doing around us. The invitation is simple: encounter God through His Word and help others discover the God who has been pursuing them all along.

Acts: The Seeds Planted

The kingdom of God is not about preserving what we have. It is about planting seeds that grow and bear fruit. In Acts 17, Paul and Silas entered Thessalonica and faithfully planted the seeds of the gospel, even in the face of opposition and persecution. This message reminds us that someone once planted seeds of faith in our lives, and now we have the opportunity to do the same for others. Through intentional moments of prayer, quiet, and faithful presence, God nurtures those seeds and helps them grow. As we make space for Him, we become people who reflect His love and share His hope with the world around us.

Acts: Who Is Really Free?

We all know what it feels like to be held captive by something. Fear, anxiety, the need for control, unforgiveness, sin, or the opinions of others can keep us from experiencing the life God desires for us. In Acts 16, Paul and Silas remind us that true freedom is not determined by our circumstances. Even while sitting in a prison cell, they prayed and sang praises to God because they knew that the presence of Christ brings a freedom that chains and walls cannot take away. This message invites us to ask an important question: What is holding us captive? Through prayer and praise, we are reminded that Jesus is still setting people free and that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

Acts: No Perfect People Allowed

None of us are perfect, yet God continually chooses ordinary and imperfect people to accomplish His purposes. In the middle of disagreements, changed plans, and unexpected interruptions, God is still at work. This message reminds us that God can use our weaknesses, failures, and even our conflicts to accomplish something greater than we can see. As we remain humble, flexible, and open to His leading, we discover that God often does His best work through imperfect people who are willing to say yes. The story of God continues through ordinary people who trust Him one step at a time.

Acts: Just Another Day

Most of life is lived in ordinary moments. We go through routines, responsibilities, and everyday tasks, often wondering if anything significant is happening. Yet Acts 14 reminds us that God is at work in the ordinary. In the seemingly unremarkable city of Iconium, people encountered the hope of Jesus and lives were changed. This message encourages us to pay attention to the people and opportunities God places right in front of us. A simple conversation, a small act of kindness, or faithfully showing up for someone may become the moment that changes a life. God is always working, and our ordinary days can become part of His extraordinary story.

Acts: Have I Got A Story For You!

Every person longs to be part of a story that matters. In Acts 13, Paul reminds us that the Christian faith is not simply a set of rules or religious practices. It is the unfolding story of God redeeming the world through Jesus Christ. This message invites us to see our lives within God's greater story. Through His death and resurrection, Jesus offers forgiveness, purpose, and a place in His kingdom. The church is called to tell this story, live this story, and invite others to discover that they too have a part to play in what God is doing in the world.

Acts: If Necessary

The resurrection of Jesus is not simply an event to remember. It is a mission to continue. As followers of Christ, we are called to embody the good news and bear witness to the risen King everywhere we go. This message reminds us that the church is the continuing work of Jesus in the world. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, we are sent to make disciples, love our neighbors, and participate in God's story. We do not go alone. The presence of Jesus goes with us, and His Spirit empowers us to live as faithful witnesses in our homes, our communities, and to the ends of the earth.

Easter Sunday: One More Move

Fear is one of the most common experiences in life. We fear the future, our failures, the unknown, and even death itself. Yet on the first Easter morning, the message spoken by both the angel and Jesus was simple: "Do not be afraid." The resurrection of Jesus changes everything. Because Christ is alive, fear no longer has the final word. God goes before us, walks with us, and meets us in every uncertainty we face. The empty tomb reminds us that when it seems like all hope is lost, Jesus still has one more move. He brings life out of death, hope out of despair, and faith in the place of fear.

Palm Sunday: Lamb Selection Day

Palm Sunday is more than Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem. It is also lamb selection day. As crowds welcomed Jesus as King, they were unknowingly choosing the true Passover Lamb who would give His life for the salvation of the world. This message invites us to see the deeper meaning of Holy Week. God has always provided what His people need most. In Jesus, He provided the perfect Lamb whose sacrifice brings freedom, forgiveness, and peace with God. The question for each of us is the same question that faced the crowds in Jerusalem: Have you chosen your Lamb?
