True or False

September 4-25

How do you react when you discover you’ve been lied to? Do you get angry? Does it hurt your feelings?  Does it breed disbelief? Does it cause you to distrust people?

What would you say if we told you you’ve been lied to for most of your life? It’s true. The Enemy of your soul has worked hard to dupe you into believing a handful of lies that, once they’ve been swallowed and internalized, will paralyze your faith, minimize your growth, and stunt your impact and effectiveness for God’s Kingdom. Join us on Sundays in September as we explore what is True or False and how you can live the life of freedom that you were intended to live.

21 Days of Prayer

September 5-25

On September 5th we began our prayer initiative of praying as a community of believers for 21 days. The goals for this initiative are simply to align our church family in prayer as we: 1) desire to see God work through our church during this season, 2) see and experience an awakening in our own prayer life, and 3) ask the Lord for increased discernment for our future together.

It's not too late to join together in prayer. If you haven't done so already, we invite you to receive the daily prayer prompts via text message by texting “21DAYS” to (678) 324-4360.  You may also visit onthehill.life/be-with-god to access the daily Prayer Guide and to learn more.

 Service Fair

September 11

One of our values is Serving Together, which means life is about service not, “serve us.” Because this is true, we know that serving changes everything.

Don’t worry, there are lots of different ways that you can get involved at Church on the Hill. TODAY from 10:30-11:00 am and 12:00-12:30 pm in the Worship Center lobby and NEW Admin Hallway, we will host a Service Fair to give you the chance to find your place to serve. While you are there, we’ll have a friendly competition between the different ministry areas! Vote for the best decorated table and grab a donut while you look for your opportunity to serve. Visit onthehill.life/service-fair for more information.

Life Group and Sunday School Classes are meeting both in-person and online. Interested in joining a class?

Pilgrimage Interest Meeting

September 18

Save the date and plan to attend an Informational meeting on Sunday, September 18th immediately following the 11 AM worship service in the food court to learn more about the upcoming pilgrimage trips hosted by Pastor Jeff. For further tour info check out onthehill.life/tours.

All Church Study

Begins October 2

It’s easy to feel discouraged and overwhelmed today, isn’t it? Paul’s letter to the Philippians addresses these same feelings with the hope found in Christ. Writing from prison, Paul urged the Philippians to live with joy in the Lord no matter what their circumstances. And you can too!

Beginning October 2, Church on the Hill will focus our attention on these truths found in Philippians through an all-church study. We know that we are all in different places. Some are in a busy season with young kids, some are new to the faith, some are empty nesters who have studied Philippians many times. Wherever you are, we want to meet you there for this study. We are offering multiple studies at three different commitment tiers.

Grab a group of parents at the football fields, friends from the neighborhood or use your existing Group to work through one of these studies, ranging from 6-16 weeks. Visit onthehill.life/all-church-study to learn about options in each tier and other details that will help you take a next step.
