Fools Gold Sermon Series
We live in a world overflowing with advice. Everyone has a take, a tip, or a trend.
But not all of it is gold. A lot of what looks like wisdom is really just polished-up foolishness. It glitters, it grabs our attention, and it feels right in the moment. But in the end, it can leave us tired, anxious, misled, or broke—spiritually and otherwise.
Join us during the month of August in this back-to-school series as we expose five of the most common cultural lies that sound smart, empowering, or practical, but are leading people away from the kind of life they were made for. Each week, we’ll turn to Proverbs—the Bible’s guidebook on wisdom—and compare the counterfeit to the True.
Isn’t it time to stop chasing fool’s gold—and start building our lives on something real?
One Combined Intergenerational Service
Join us for a special intergenerational worship experience at 10am in the Worship Center on August 30th. We’ll gather as one church family to worship, celebrate, and remember that we are part of something bigger than ourselves. As we launch into a new season of fall ministry and look toward the future God is calling us into, we'll be reminded that peace comes through surrender and that we're stronger when we walk together.
One Church. One Mission. One Future. We can't wait to worship and grow with you.

Serve On the Hill
At Church on the Hill, serving together is a high value and a vital part of sustaining our church body. No matter what your background or talents, there is always a place for you here to serve. If you are looking to connect On or Off the Hill through service, we invite you to check out our opportunities to serve on the Connect Tower in the lobby or online HERE.
Fall Groups Launch
As we step into a new season this fall, we’re inviting you to move from simply attending to truly belonging. This is a season to gather & grow together as one body in Christ and take a next step in your faith alongside others. In a world full of noise, pressure, and surface-level connection, groups create space to slow down, grow deeper in faith, and build real friendships rooted in Christ. Together, we’ll learn how to live wisely, follow Jesus faithfully, and encourage one another through every season of life.
No matter your age, stage, or where you are in your faith journey, there’s a place for you here. Because discipleship doesn’t happen alone—we grow stronger when we walk together because we’re better together!
Join us for our Fall Groups Fair following the One Combined Intergenerational Service on Sunday, August 30, to meet group leaders, explore opportunities to connect, and find the group that’s right for you. Your next step could start with one conversation.
Students on the Hill will host our first middle school retreat in October! Shocco Springs is a famous retreat spot in Talladega, Alabama. Students will be staying in cabins with their small group leaders. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is included in the price. Each day will include engaging lessons and worship, along with plenty of time for fun! Students will enjoy recreation activities like games, ziplining, ropes courses, and more.
