The defining mark of a disciple isn’t knowledge, power, or success—it’s love. Loving well, however, requires deep formation: a love for God that is whole and wholehearted, a love for ourselves that is healed and humble, and a love for others that is active, sacrificial, and generational.

This Lenten season, we’re choosing to love with our lives, our resources, and our legacy. We believe now is the time to unleash the church for what comes next so that we clear the way for ministry, mission, and multiplication that will outlive us. This is a season of deep surrender, bold trust, and lasting love. Because to love God is to give Him everything and to love people is to make room for their future.

Love That Frees

What does it mean that Jesus says, “I am the resurrection and the life”? In John 11, we find a Savior who steps into grief, stands before a sealed tomb, and calls a dead man back to life. This is not just a story about what happens after we die. It is about the places in us that already feel lifeless. It is about the habits, fears, regrets, and disappointments that wrap around us like grave clothes. In this message, we explore how love calls us out of what binds us so new life can begin. Resurrection is not just something we believe in our heads. It is a reality we are invited to live from every single day. And when Jesus calls us out, the community of faith helps unbind us so we can walk in freedom together. If you have ever wondered whether something in your life is too far gone, this message is for you.

Made to Shine

In John 9, Jesus heals a man born blind, but the real miracle is not just restored sight, it’s revealed truth. While religious leaders miss what’s right in front of them, the man who once was blind sees Jesus clearly and shines with God’s glory. As we stand on the edge of Lent, this message invites us to ask a vital question: Are we seeing Jesus clearly enough to shine, or are we missing Him because we’re looking someplace else?

Made to Trust

What do we do when trust has been broken by people, situations, or even disappointment with God? This week’s message dives into the difference between trust as a noun and trust as a verb. Through the story of the official in John 4 and real-life testimonies from within our own church, Pastor Steve leads us to the heart of active, surrendered trust in a faithful God. Whether you’re in a season of waiting, hurting, or rebuilding, you were made for more than self-reliance. You were made for relationship, for eternity, and for a deeper trust that grows even through the hard things.

Made to Belong

What if real change doesn’t start with effort, but with surrender? In this powerful message from our Made for More series, we explore the conversation between Jesus and Nicodemus—a deeply religious man confronted with the need not for improvement, but for rebirth. Pastor Brian unpacks what it truly means to be “born again,” not as a moment of moral adjustment, but as a complete transformation of identity through the Spirit of God. Whether you’re wrestling with belief, stuck in religious routines, or longing for more in your life with God—this message is an invitation to stop striving and start receiving the new life Jesus offers. You weren’t made to just get better. You were made to be made new.

Holy Disruption

In a powerful and timely message, guest speaker Josh Clemons walks us through Jesus’ cleansing of the temple in John 2. What seems like a moment of anger is actually an act of deep love, a holy disruption aimed at restoring sacred space. Through this story, we are reminded that Jesus will not allow anything to stand where God intends to dwell. With historical and modern reflections, Josh challenges us to consider what Jesus might overturn in our own lives, communities, and churches today.

Made for Transformation

What happens when we respond to God's invitation? In this sermon from John 2, Pastor Jeff explores Jesus’ first miracle at the wedding in Cana, a quiet, almost unnoticed act of extravagant grace and transformation. Through the simple obedience of servants, water is turned into wine, reminding us that God meets us in the ordinary and turns it into the extraordinary. Real transformation doesn’t always come with fireworks; it often begins with one quiet decision to say yes. No matter how cracked or forgotten we may feel, when placed in the hands of the Master, our lives reveal His glory.

Made to Seek

We kicked off the new year by asking one of the most important questions we face: "Why am I here?" This message from John 1 shows us that faith doesn’t start with striving or searching; it starts when we’re found by Jesus. Our identity and purpose are not discovered through self-help or hustle, but through the simple yet powerful invitation Jesus gives to every one of us: "Come and see." When we encounter Him, everything changes. And just like those first disciples, when we’ve been found, we’re called to go and find others. This message will inspire and challenge you to step into your calling with clarity, courage, and compassion.

Prince of Peace

In the chaos of the holidays and the noise of everyday life, true peace often feels out of reach. But Scripture reminds us that peace isn’t just the absence of conflict; it’s the presence of Jesus. In this message from Pastor Jeff, we’re reminded that Jesus is our Sar Shalom, the Prince of Peace, who doesn’t just calm external storms but rules over our inner world too. Learn how to receive His peace daily and become someone who carries that peace into the lives of others.

Everlasting Father

We all receive things from those before us, some beautiful, some broken. In this message, Pastor Brian Butcher explores how the arrival of Jesus, our Everlasting Father, offers us the chance to stop regifting pain and dysfunction and instead begin passing along hope, peace, and joy. Through Isaiah’s prophecy and Jesus' words, we are invited into a better exchange: our mess for His mercy, our dysfunction for His renewal. This Christmas, what will you regift?

Mighty God

In a world filled with darkness, disappointment, and brokenness, Isaiah 9:6 offers more than a temporary solution; it promises a Savior who is both mighty and deeply personal. In this Advent message, Pastor Steve Wood reveals the transformative power of God's love that doesn't just reach the world broadly but reaches us individually. Jesus is not just a far-off king; He is the God who knows your name, who fights for you, and who offers His peace personally. This message invites us to surrender not just our problems, but our entire selves, to the One who came to rescue and redeem us completely.

Believe in His Wonders, Trust His Wisdom

In this Advent message from Isaiah 9:6–7, we’re reminded that Jesus isn’t just able to work wonders: He’s willing. We often pray for quick fixes to hard situations, but God offers something deeper: real redemption and wisdom in the midst of struggle. Jesus, our Wonderful Counselor, works miracles and guides us through every season. This week, we’re invited to pray a simple but powerful prayer: “Come, Holy Spirit.” Believe in His wonders. Trust in His wisdom. He has come, and He is still at work.

Finding Eden in Your Exile

How do we hold on to hope when life unravels? In this powerful sermon, Pastor Brian explores what it means to live faithfully and fruitfully even in the midst of suffering. Drawing from the story of Joanie and the words of Jeremiah to exiles in Babylon, we're reminded that our pain doesn’t disqualify us from God’s purpose: in fact, it may be the very place where God’s redemption begins. Discover the hopeful, transformative truth: you can find Eden even in your exile.

Wake Up, Rise Up, Light Up!

In a world that feels like it's constantly shifting, where leaders stumble, cultures change, and institutions crumble, one truth remains: the cross still stands. In this message from our series The Domino Effect, we’re reminded through Colossians 4 how to live anchored in unshakable hope. With clarity and passion, we’re called to wake up in prayer, rise up in community, and light it up in our witness. This isn’t just a message to hear: it’s a call to action for every believer ready to carry the unchanging truth of the cross into a world that desperately needs it.

Jesus Christ: Our Identitiy

Too often we fall into the trap of trying to change ourselves through willpower or behavior modification. This message reminds us that in Christ, we are not just improved: we are made new. Pastor Steve explores how to live out this identity, not by managing sin, but by intentionally embracing who we already are through Christ. When we clothe ourselves daily with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and love, the Holy Spirit equips us to live transformed lives from the inside out.

Jesus Christ: Your Life

This week at Church on the Hill, Pastor Jeff continues our Colossians series by calling us to fully embrace the freedom of a new life in Christ. Drawing from Colossians 3, the message challenges us to stop carrying around the weight of who we used to be. When we surrender to Jesus, our old selves can be buried for good, and we can rise each day into a renewed identity shaped by grace, not our past. This sermon is an invitation to let go of what’s been holding us back and live fully in the transformation God offers.

Jesus Christ: Risen and Ascended

In a world full of noise, pressure, and chaos, it's easy to feel like life is falling apart. But what if the problem isn’t just the pressure: it’s what’s at the center? In this message from Colossians 1, Pastor Jeff Coleman reminds us that only Jesus has the power to hold our lives together. When Christ is at the center, everything else finds its rightful place. The Tipping Point

Spiritual transformation doesn’t start with flash or fame: it begins with a single faithful step. In this introduction to our Colossians series The Domino Effect, Pastor Jeff explores how spiritual maturity is measured not by speed but by rootedness in Christ. Like a domino set in motion, the movement of God often begins in obscurity with one person saying "yes" to God. Discover how a faithful life, deeply planted in Jesus, can spark a ripple of transformation in your world and beyond.
